  • The Best Western Aspen Court Motel is a new complex of 15 units, situated in the town of Twizel, which is in the heart of the Mackenzie Country of the South Island. This area is well known for all outdoor activities, including an international rowing venue (Lake Ruataniwha), water skiing, canoeing, wind surfing, fishing and snow skiing. Mount Cook is 68 kilometers away where you can mountaineer, go tramping and hunt. The scenery is breathtaking, a photographers dream. Autumn tree colors are well known, which is another delight. Twizel is a small town of 1,000 people, it has all amenities, including a small shopping mall, with several good restaurants and a golf course.
