  • The Best Western Hotel Birkenhof is situated at an altitude of 914 m, in the beautiful surroundings of the Erzgebirge mountain chain. Oberwiesenthal became famous by holding various winter sport contests and championships. The scenic landscape at the bottom of the Fichtelberg guarantees best conditions for an animated program during all seasons.   • From the north: Take highway Berlin-Dresden (A13), exit the highway in the direction of Chemnitz (A4) motorway to Annaberg-Buchholz (B95), then follow the signs to Oberwiesenthal. From the south: Take highway Munich-Nuremberg-Bayreuth (A72) in the direction of Hof-Plaunen, exit Chemnitz Sued, then use motor way B95 to Oberwiesenthal.
