- Located at 22degrees 49' and 113degrees 48' E, Humen Town conveniently lies at the east side of the estuary of the Pearl River, with Nansha Town of Panyu City to the opposite. It is only 74 kilometers away from Guangzhou by water to the north: 75 kilometers from Hong Kong by sea to the south,and 83 kilometers from Macao and 70 kilometers from Shekou Port to the west. Taiping Container Terminal Port lies at the river mouth in the urban district, which is capable of berthing ships with a tonnage to 3,000. Humen Town is also the converging point of Guangshen, Guang-Shenzhu and Shen-Zhu Expressways and the National Road G107. They are 80 kilometers away from Guandzhouby land to the north, 73 kilometers from Shenzhen and 35 kilometers from Huangtian Airport in Shenzhen to the south, 28 kilomerters from Guancheng District and 42 kilometers from Shilong Town to the east. A developed network of road transportation has taken shape here. Humen waterway transportation enjoys easy access to the network of Dongjiang River, Xijiang River and Beijiang River, leading directly to Hong Kong, Macao and other harbors along the coastal areas in South China, and has become an exonomic passageway among Guangdong Province, HongKong and Macao. Four airports are available at the four directions of Humen:Huizhou Airport to the east (about only 100 minutes ride), Zhuhai and Macao Airports to the west (about 90 minutes ride), Shenzhen Huangtian Airport to the south (25 minutes ride) and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport to the north (about 60 minutes ride).
