The Palace is built of yellow sandstone with
intricately carved balconies characteristics of the
Golden City of Jaisalmer. This desert retreat
enroute to the Sam Sand Dunes offers contemporary
luxuries in peaceful surroundings and is also within
proximity to the world famous havelis and the
Jaisalmer Fort. Founded in the 12th century
Jaisalmer is the western most town in India that
was once a major staging post in the trade across
the forbidding That Desert.
The hotel is inspired by the traditional Indian
concept of housing. There is a central courtyard
with a swimming pool which is surrounded by
luxuriously appointed rooms.
Tradtioinal in cuisine the hotel is a veritable
oasis that makes the discovery of the desert a
pleasure by day and by night. The hotel can organise
desert camps with folk music and dancing.
