    Gulangyu Island Beautiful island famous for its pre-war buildings and musically inclined residents. Also known as Piano island. Motor vehicles are not allowed on the island. Many tourist attractions on the island to be explored and breathtaking laser display from various parts of the island can be seen in the evening.

    Nan Putuo Temple Well known ancient religious sanctuary located at the floor of Wulao Mountain with many religious ceremonies throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy panoramic view of Xiamen University and the ports of Xiamen at the top of the Mountain behind the temple.

    Huli Fortress Located at the coast of Huangcuo Sea first built in 1891 by the 17th emperor Guangxu of the Qing dynasty. Displays an array of canons including one 280mm in diameter imported from Germany in year 1881.

    Jimei University area Famous for the beautiful Jimei University grounds with its Dragon Boat Lake. Aoyuan Garden, a famous park built from the ruins of Autou Palace which was destroyed during the war is also in the same vicinity. The area of Auyuan covers a total of 8990 square meters and is built by famous philanthropist Mr Tan Kah-Kee whose tomb is also erected in the garden.

    Haichang Bridge Magnificient modern architecture completed in October 1999 that links the main island to Haicang Industrial area of Xiamen. It boasts the original manuscript by president Jiang Zhemin inscribed on the high ends of the bridge.
