Built out of the local mellow stone, owned and operated by the same family since 1953. Set in a large well kept garden with several acres of woodland, in the midst of the countryside but easy to find it is almost adjoining the famous Westonbirt Arboretum. The atmosphere is one of spacious elegance with informality. The Best Western Hare & Hounds Hotel is comfortable and relaxing in summer or winter. The impressive restaurant, with high standards of cooking and constant variety, overlooks the lawns. There are spacious lounges and bars with a real village inn atmosphere. Squash and tennis courts are on the grounds, snooker and table tennis inside. You will really enjoy your stay in Westonbirt. The lounges, friendly real-ale bars and restaurant attracts both travelers and locals alike. The famous arboretum is next door and the historic city of Bath just 21 miles away.

  • The Best Western Hare & Hounds Hotel is on A433, 4 kilometers southwest of Tetbury easily visible from the road. From M4 Junction 17 follow the sign to Tetbury (via Malmesbury) and from Tetbury in the Bath/Westonbirt direction or Exit 18 and follow the brown signs to Westonbirt Arboretum. The Best Western Hare & Hounds Hotel is by the main road (do not take the turn to Westonbirt Village) 1 kilometer beyond the Arboretum. From M5 south, follow M4 Junction 18. From M5 North Junction 13 follow signs to Stroud. Take A46 in the Bath/Nailsworth direction. Do not take the Tetbury turn but stay on A46 for 1 kilometer to the left turn to Westonbirt. The Best Western Hare & Hounds Hotel is at the junction with the main road 5 kilometers further.
