  • The Best Western Hotel Excelsior is centrally located close to the train station, the pedestrian area known as Anger and the historical old town with the impressive cathedral St. Marien. There are many historic houses, churches, theaters, museums and a citadel to see. Behind the youthfully styled facade of our hotel, you will find 77 individual rooms including suites and junior suites located on four floors. The Best Western Hotel Excelsior is tastefully decorated with a glass dome in the entrance hall and glasses in many of the corridors make a cozy, bright and friendly atmosphere. We feature complimentary breakfast buffet, cocktail lounge, fitness center, sauna and solarium, meeting and banquet facilities, 24-hour front desk, bicycle rental and laundry and valet services. Our guest rooms have satellite television, alarm clock, direct dial telephone, fax connection, bath or shower, radio, hairdryer and mini-bar.
General Information
  • In the south of the city center, near pedestrian area and historical old town. From Highway A 4: Take the exit Erfurt East or West and follow the signs downtown or mainstation. The hotel is located near the main station. From Berlin A9: follow the motorway A9 to the intersection Hermsdorfer Kreuz, take the A4 and exit Erfurt Ost. 10 kilometers to the Erfurt city center, from the Weimarischen Strasse via the Schmidtstedter Brucke-Sudknoten direction Zentrum/Hauptbahnhof, turn left into the Juri-Gagarin-Ring, left into the Burgermeister-Wagner-Strasse, right into the Schmidtstedter Strasse and left again to the Bahnhofstrasse 35. From Dresden A4: follow the A4 to intersection Hermsdorfer Kreuz to Erfurt and exit Erfurt Ost. 10 kilometers to the Erfurt city center, from the Weimarischen Strasse via the Schmidtstedter Brucke-Sudknoten direction Zentrum/Hauptbahnhof, turn left into the Juri-Gagarin-Ring, left into the Burgermeister-Wagner-Strasse, right into the Schmidtstedter Strasse and left again to the Bahnhofstrasse 35. From Frankfurt/Main A5: follow the A5 to intersection Kirchheimer Dreieck, take the A4 til exit Erfurt West, follow the B4 about 10 kilometers towards Erfurt city center (Stadtzentrum), from the Arnstadter Strasse/Loberstrasse turn right into Juri-Gagarin-Ring, 3rd traffic light right into the Burgermeister-Wagner-Strasse, right into the Schmidtstedter Strasse and left again to the Bahnhofstrasse 35. Note: Follow the green hotel signs towards the city center.
