Our location, on the Delaware River and 90 minutes from New York City, makes us a prime stopping point for travelers heading into or out of the New York metro area. We are on the state border between New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Easton is home to Lafayette College and the Two Rivers Visitors Center, which contains the Crayola Factory Tour and the National Canal Museum. Easton is a historic town with history on each street. The Declaration of Independence was read in the town square in 1776. Many buildings date to the late 1700s and have been totally restored. Located just 2 blocks from us is Hugh Moore State Park. This beautiful riverfront park is where the Delaware River and canal is met by the Lehigh River and its canal. The park offers hiking and jogging paths and is the home of the National Canal Museum. Historic downtown Easton also offers many fine small restaurants, antique shops and art galleries. Major tour destinations within a 90-minute drive of us include, the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Science Museum, Staten Island Ferry, the Broadway theater district, Macy's Department Store and the Herald Square shopping district, Giants Stadium, Rutgers University, Princeton, Flemington outlet shops, Pocono Mountains (winter and summer sports), Atlantic City, and the New Jersey Shore, the Blue Army Shrine in Washington, New Jersey, Philadelphia and its museums, Wildwater Kingdom/Dorney Park and the Great Adventure Amusement Park in Trenton, New Jersey.
